Felabration Set To Hold Virtually For The First Time: The annual festival that holds in memory of the legendary singer, Fela Anikulapo Kuti (Felabration) will be held virtually this year.
The Organizers have decided to host the celebration virtually this year 2020 due to the pandemic that has gotten the world on its knees for over nine months now.
According to a press release by the organizers, the festival will be streamed across several social media platforms such as zoom, Facebook and YouTube.
The 2020 edition Felebration is expected to kick off with a symposium that will be themed on the predicament of Africa especially the pressing issues.
Speakers to grace the occasion include: Arikana Chihombori, the former permanent representative to the African Union mission in Washington DC, Kweku Mandela and Dele Farotimi, lawyer and author.
The opening event is thememd “Colomentality”, and it will be hosted by the popular Uganda media personalty Vincent Magombe. The dress code for has a challenge which is centered on anyone who can dress more like the legendary Fela Anikulapo.
The winner will walk home with a sum of N50, 000. Some notable artist to perform at the event are: Wizkid, 2face Idibia, Niniola, Joeboy and many more.
